What’s Next?
I’ve heard the question, “What are you doing after the World Race?” just a few times in the past couple of months. Trust me, I’ve been just as eager to find out as all of you. The most important thing to me was that I was following the plan the Lord has for me and not my own.
I didn’t really expect this but I’m happy to say that after the race I will come home for 2 months and then I will go back out on the field as an alumni team leader for a World Race Semesters trip!
Cool!! What is that and what does that mean?
You’re right! It is cool! Semesters trips are for 18-22 year olds who want to take a semester off of school or out of their life to serve God through what I can only explain as a mini World Race. We will travel to several different countries and share the love of Jesus with everyone we can.
What does that look like for you as their leader?
I will be doing many of the things I have done over the past 10 months as a logistics leader and team leader for my World Race. This includes organizing travel, communicating with hosts, and loving on my team the best I can. What I am most excited about is facilitating growth in the people I will be leading. I have grown so much in so many areas on my race and I cannot wait to see the kind of growth these people will go through! I am excited God is allowing me to be a part of it!
When is this happening?
I will leave the day after my birthday, January 18, to go to training in Georgia. Then we will leave the country January 27th for the Semesters trip and I will come back home to Texas April 27th.
Where will you be going?
Fun story! I actually don’t know yet. God has asked me to go so I’m going. I will find out a month or two before I leave where exactly I will be going. This is because they have several different trips and several different leadership teams to form. They want to get together solid teams and then place them rather than putting people where they ask to go and possibly not have as strong of a leader partnership. I am super supportive of this kind of decision making and am also very excited to find out where I will be spending my time this spring!
Will you be needing support?
I’m so glad you asked! Yes, I will be! For me to lead for three months I will need to fund raise $4,500. I know the Lord will provide like He has done so many times before! If you would like to support me financially you can click the donate button at the top of my blog! Any amount is appreciated! I am especially looking for people who would like to support me monthly! This can also be set up by clicking the donate button. More than anything though I need people to pray for me! One thing I’ve learned this year is how amazing prayer is and I don’t want to do any of this if God isn’t in it, so please please please pray for me and this trip! Thank you to all of you who continue to read my blogs, support me financially, and pray for me! It seriously means so much!
I’m excited for this next season and what the Lord has planned! I hope you all desire to continue to follow what He’s up to in my life!
P.S. Another thank you to those of you who comment on my blogs! It makes me feel so loved!
