By this time tomorrow I will be back in the United States! Although, I won’t be back in Texas for several more days. I’m so excited to come home!
Here are some of things I’m so excited to come back to that I either haven’t had all year or have had very little of.
- Free water
- Clean water
- Hot showers
- Good shower water pressure
- Free washing machine
- Any dryer at all
- Dish washer
- Real coffee
- A bed I can call my own and know for a fact is clean
- Buffalo wings
- A more than 4 T-shirt wardrobe
- AC and heating
- A stove I don’t have to light with a match
- A closet to keep my clothes in instead of a bag
- Liquid shampoo
- Driving
- Knowing exactly where to go and not have to use my maps.me app
- A grocery store that I know exactly where everything is and has what I would consider the basics
- Using American currency and not have to use my converter app
- Being able to use my debit card nearly everywhere I go
- Not finding it necessary to carry around a food bag
- Not having to ask over and over and over again, “what’s the WiFi password?”
- Being able to buy the deodorant I like
- Good internet
- Not having to worry about buying a different SIM card each month for my phone
- Flushing toilet paper
Can’t wait to see you guys! Thank you for all the ways you have loved and supported me!!
Ahhh yes. Hot showers was my biggest desire coming home from the Race!
Welcome home!!
I’m crying and I haven’t even seen you face!! For Thanksgiving you, being home will be high on everyone’s list!! Love you so much!!
Welcome home young lady!!!! Breathe, relax, rest, and enjoy your time at home with family and friends. Don’t let the “I shouldn’t be enjoying this…this culture is so spoiled” thoughts creep in. This may or may not happen…but if it does KNOW that The Lord placed you in this country and with your family for a reason….enjoy the blessings he has given you without hesitation ??
UGH I MISS YOU SO MUCH! I know your family will be so excited to see you! You are always welcome to come to MS ???? we have those things too!! So proud of you and all the new perspectives you have gained!
